On this day in 1493, Columbus saw three mermaids playing in the water. Yes, along with thinking America was Asia, Columbus also found mermaids that were actually manatees. Not surprisingly, he reported that they were not as pretty as the mermaids in pictures, but rather manish.
Oh, well. At least Larry thinks manatees are pretty.
